Holiday Dress, How to Wow

‘Tis the season. . .for holiday parties. There are so many holiday parties to attend. This means that there are so many holiday outfits to prepare. If you are going to a holiday work party, here are some ideas when it comes to your holiday wear.

1. When choosing a holiday look, ask yourself, “Would I be the subject of water cooler talk?” You don’t want to wear anything that is too revealing or lewd. If what you would wear to your holiday party would be talk of the water cooler, make sure that you are toning down your look. You don’t want to bare too much skin, and you certainly don’t want to be sending the wrong message to your co-workers. Sure, a party is to have fun, but a work party is different. It isn’t a time to completely relax. Even if you are best friends with your co-workers, you need to remember that your boss will be at your party as well.

2. You can never, ever go wrong with a little black dress. The little black dress is a timeless fashion statement. If you aren’t really sure of what do wear, to your holiday party, go with a black dress. It can be dressed up with heels and a great up do. It can also be dressed down with a simple ponytail and black flats. However, don’t be afraid to find a dress with a pop of color. Black can be easy and chick, but color can make more of a statement. You can go with a gold dress, or a red or green one. The colors are endless, it’s up to you.

3. Don’t forget about accessories. If you are going to stay with your little black dress, make sure that you get some glitzy accessories to add a wow factor to your dress. Add a sparkly clutch, some sparkly rings, and you are set to go. If you want to add a wow factor, make sure that you add some sparkly accessories to your hair. You will really stand out in the crowd.

Dressing for the holidays can be stressful, but if you start thinking about different ways that you can start dressing for them, you will be great. Find things that you know you will look good in. Have fun at your holiday parties!
